This is a video message from Repower America in response to the Clean Air Act in the United States.

Some background about the video:

Thousands of Repower America members around the country took a stand for clean air and submitted their photos and videos in support of the Clean Air Act. This new video is a declaration that we won’t stay quiet and lose our last, best line of defense against big polluters.
Please share this video with your friends and family and help defend the Clean Air Act for all of us.
Thank you to everyone who took action to protect this vitally important law. We used as many of your amazing submissions as possible in this final video.

About Repower America:

America faces unprecedented economic, national security and environmental challenges. The solution – transition to clean, renewable energy. Join our movement of more than 5 million calling for clean energy and climate policies that will create millions of jobs, make us energy independent and solve the climate crisis.
Launched in 2008 in a pioneering speech by Al Gore that hit the reset button on America’s clean energy goals, Repower America was first introduced as a bold plan to “repower” our country with 100% clean electricity and revitalize our national energy infrastructure. At its core, Repower America stands for the importance of investing in energy efficiency; clean, renewable and diversified energy sources; a unified national smart energy grid that connects these renewable energy sources to every part of the country; and clean car technology.

Viki Forrest
CEO of ANZA Technology Network
Gateway to China Pilot Program

Viki Forrest is a respected leader with a demonstrated ability to design and build sustainable organizations from initial start-up phase to maturity. She has over 20 years of international experience in the high-tech industry spanning Australia, Asia and the U.S.

Viki joined ANZA Technology Network in 2005. The ANZA mission has always been to expand the reach of Australian technology and biotechnology companies into the U.S. and Viki has extended this mission into China. Viki nurtures and develops ANZA’s strong global network of industry leaders across multiple technology and biotechnology sectors and provides ANZA network members with the key connections and strategies they need to successfully commercialize their innovations globally.

Before joining ANZA Viki was COO for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (FWE&E) where she was responsible for 1000 members globally and operations including membership relations, event and program management and strategic planning. Prior to FWE&E, Viki was VP Marketing for Bullant Inc., an Australian company with breakthrough technology for Internet and wireless applications. Viki launched Bullant in Australia and helped raise $25m in funding before moving to Silicon Valley with a small team to establish the company in the U.S. market. Before Bullant, Viki spent 15 years with Digital Equipment Corp. where she held a range of executive positions including Director Technical Sales Support for the Asia Pacific region. Viki entered the IT industry as a software developer.

ANZA’s Gateway to China Program

ANZA Technology Network, in partnership with The New South Wales Government’s Department of Industry & Investment and in collaboration with Advance, launched its Gateway to China pilot program in April 2010.

Fifteen companies completed a market-readiness assessment in Sydney from which five candidates have been chosen to take part in a one-week market exploration in Shanghai, 12-18 June 2010. During the week in Shanghai, which coincides with NSW government activities at World EXPO, the Gateway to China companies will take part in workshops designed to prepare them for expanding their business into China and cover market entry, funding, legal, IP and cultural topics. The companies will be hosted by a group of China entrepreneurs and industry experts who are members of ANZA and Advance networks. The unique combination of workshops and one-on-one business meetings will provide the Gateway companies with excellent opportunities to make valuable connections for their China market entry strategy and commercialization goals.
