Jo Hume is an Investment Analyst for CVC Managers Pty Ltd. She has 15 years experience in the energy and environmental sectors. Jo joined CVC from AGL where she was a senior energy analyst (commercial). Prior to that she ran the NZ Business Council for Sustainable Development, managed sustainable energy commercialisation programs for the NSW Sustainable Energy Development Authority, was a market analyst for the NZ electricity market administrator and worked in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum engineer.

She is a director of the Australia-NZ Climate Change and Business Centre and has a clear understanding of the conditions required to commercialise sustainable businesses.

Relevant awards – Winston Churchill Fellowship, Premier’s award for environment and education, Queens Trust Forum participant.

Chuck began his cleantech career over 20 years ago helping to launch in 1984 the nation’s first independent bulk electric power trading company, the predecessor to Citizens Power. In 1986, having directed the successful campaign of Congressman Joseph Kennedy II, Chuck served two terms as his Chief of Staff. He then joined Waste Management, the world’s largest environmental services company, as Vice President for Government Affairs. During his 12 years of senior level energy and environmental policy work in Washington, DC Chuck established strong administrative and strategic relationships that have put him at the forefront of cleantech policy deliberations today.
He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Advanced Electron Beams, Project FROG, Recurve, Renaissance Lighting, Soliant Energy, and Tioga Energy. He serves as President of the Smart Grid Policy Center, director and executive committee member of the GridWise Alliance, a member of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Venture Capital Advisory Committee, and a member of the Energy Future Coalition Advisory Council.

As CEO of Lend Lease’s venture capital business, Anthony leads Australia’s largest dedicated cleantech investor. Anthony is responsible for the business’ $100 million cleantech fund which invests in commercially viable growth companies operating in energy, water and building sectors.  Anthony joined Lend Lease in January 2007 as Global Chief Operating Officer of Lend Lease’s investment management business. In this role, Anthony made a significant contribution to the development of this business, particularly in relation to building its offshore business platforms.  During his career prior to Lend Lease, Anthony accumulated extensive experience across a variety of senior executive positions. Anthony was formerly Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director of ASX listed Blackmores Limited where he played a leading role in improving the company’s strategic and financial performance.  Prior to Blackmores, Anthony ran Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Strategy at Goodman Fielder, and was later appointed to run a large portfolio of branded food businesses within that group. His experience prior to that included a successful career in investment banking spanning almost a decade and Anthony started professional life with Ernst and Young.
