Peter is global sustainable development entrepreneur. He is the joint founder and Managing Director of Clean Technology AustralAsia, a business established to accelerate the investment in and deployment of clean technologies in the Asia Pacific region. Throughout Peter’s 20-year entrepreneurial career, he has worked at the leading edge of the sustainable development agenda and has advised leading corporations, regional governments and global financial institutions. He has conceived, designed and oraganised Cleantech Finance & Investment Initiatives in Australia, India and China. In addition to his many corporate strategic consulting roles he has lead two major projects for the Asia Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate to Review the Global Flagship program and to develop a Strategic Action plan to increase the investment in renewable energy in India. Peter was previously the Fund Manger for the Sustainable Melbourne Fund, Sustainability Advisor for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, International Business Development Manager for Melbourne University Private and National Manager Environment Recruitment Dunhill Management Services. He has held a number of board and advisory positions and is a regular speaker at international conferences. Peter graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Studies.

Clean Technology AustralAsia (CTA) was established in 2004 by Jeff and Peter Castellas to play a catalytic role in building the Cleantech industry in Australia, to connect investors with cleantech opportunities and to accelerate the investment in and deployment of Clean Technologies in the Asia Pacific.

CTA undertake high level strategic advisory and consulting work to help enable markets and drive investment into Cleantech. Examples of some of CTA’s consulting work includes being commissioned on a international project through the Asia Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate, Renewable Energy Task Force to develop a Strategic Action Plan to accelerate investment in India Renewable. CTA were also commissioned to undertake a significant research project and industry consultation for the Victorian Government to define the strengths and competitive advantages of the “Victorian Cleantech Sector”. CTA also provide professional services to the cleantech network that includes creating Cleantech Research reports, consulting on finance and sustainability strategy, database development and industry classification.
